This preschool project was thoughtfully designed based on the client’s brief and spatial requirements, incorporating four classrooms, a common play area, and an indoor activity zone. The design approach combines principles of colour theory, vastu, and child psychology to create an environment that supports a child’s emotional, cognitive, and social development while making them feel safe, comfortable, and engaged within the space.

Every element of the project was carefully customised according to the client’s vision and the functional needs of the users. All furniture and materials used throughout the space are child-safe, durable, and designed to suit the scale and comfort of young learners. The overall aesthetic balances playful vibrancy with minimal design language to avoid overstimulation while still maintaining a warm and interactive learning environment.

The Common Room acts as the heart of the preschool and was designed to support multiple functions within a cohesive environment. The space includes:

  • Reception Area

  • Dean’s Cabin

  • Interactive Play Zone

  • Cognitive Activity Area

  • Art & Creative Play Corner

  • Pretend & Play Zone

  • Reading Niche

Special attention was given to creating comfortable and engaging zones that encourage social interaction, creativity, and imaginative play. A cozy reading niche was designed to provide children with a calm and comforting environment that promotes focused and relaxed reading habits.
